The Dominican call

St. Dominic (Dominic de Guzmán, 1170-1221) was a Spanish priest and the founder of the Dominican Order (Order of Preachers), a Catholic religious order focused on preaching truth, education, and combating heresy through an austere, scholarly, and apostolic lifestyle.

The Corpus Christi Monastery is a thoroughly Dominican foundation uniquely distinguished from other monasteries by such various distinctive elements as have been faithfully handed down through the ages and which find their origin and source in the rich legacy that our blessed father, St. Dominic, passed on to his children.

Over the years, Dominican spirituality has been characterized by, among others, such fundamental features as:
